Song of Silence

An excerpt in the raw:

I think I’ll just enjoy the song of silence for a moment. Yes, you heard me correctly. I meant the song, for silence does have a rhythm, crescendos and pauses. Sometimes the silence laments as if mourning for some cherished thing. The ebb and flow, heavy waves of shadowed fog, chilling against your skin.
My favorite is the Celebration of Quiet. It has an amazing upbeat of peace you can really move to.

In this moment, the silence sounds alive. Each particle of nothing is a high-hat tsking, in sleek ink-black stealth. Surprising the edge of your mind with inaudible percussion. It slaps the bass strings in a funky muted melody. This Song feels shiny, bright as exploding inspirations dancing up over and around the soundless harmonies.

Silence does indeed sing a song.
